   NEB INTO NRN NM BY LATE AFTERNOON. STRONG SWLY WINDS WILL OCCUR
   AHEAD OF THIS FRONT OVER ERN NM...W TX...OK AND KS BUT RH WILL ONLY
   BE MODERATELY LOW. ELSEWHERE...RH WILL CONTINUE TO RISE ACROSS THE
   SERN STATES WITH SLY FLOW OFF THE GULF OF MEXICO.

   IT WILL BE VERY WINDY TODAY WITH SUSTAINED SPEEDS OF 30-35 MPH WITH
   HIGHER GUSTS OF 40-50 MPH. ALTHOUGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE
   MILD...RANGING FROM THE 60S F KS TO THE MID TO UPPER 70S F OVER
   CNTRL/SW TX...MIN RH LEVELS ARE ONLY EXPECTED TO BOTTOM IN THE 20
   PERCENT RANGE...WITH THE LOWEST VALUES OVER FAR SW TX. EVEN WITH
   MARGINAL RH...RECENT DROUGHT CONDITIONS ALONG WITH VERY STRONG WINDS
   COULD POSE A PROBLEM WITH ANY FIRES THAT MAY OCCUR.

   AN UPPER TROUGH AXIS WILL MOVE FROM THE SRN HIGH PLAINS SAT MORNING
   TO THE UPPER MS VALLEY BY SUN MORNING. AT THE SURFACE...STRONG WLY
   WINDS BEHIND A PACIFIC COLD FRONT WILL COMBINE WITH LOW RH TO
   PRODUCE CRITICAL FIRE CONDITIONS FOR MUCH OF CNTRL TX. NUMEROUS
   SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL OCCUR ALONG THE COLD FRONT FROM MO
   INTO ERN TX.
   
   ...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - MUCH OF CNTRL TX...
   
   PRIMARY CONDITIONS: STRONG WLY WINDS...LOW RH...DROUGHT
   
   A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE RAPIDLY EWD ACROSS TX AND BY MIDDAY WLY WINDS
   WILL INCREASE TO 25-30 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. RH LEVELS WILL BE MUCH
   LOWER THAN ON THE PREVIOUS TWO DAYS...WITH 10-20 PERCENT EXPECTED
   OVER CNTRL TX AND VALUES OF 20-30 PERCENT ACROSS S CNTRL TX. GIVEN
   ONGOING DROUGHT CONDITIONS...THE VERY STRONG WINDS AS WELL AS LOW RH
   COULD RESULT IN A POTENTIALLY ACTIVE FIRE WEATHER DAY...DESPITE
   RELATIVELY COOL TEMPERATURES.
   
   THE ERN EXTENT OF THE CRITICAL AREA WILL BE MITIGATED BY WHERE
   THUNDERSTORMS ERUPT ALONG THE COLD FRONT. CRITICAL FIRE CONDITIONS
   COULD REACH AS FAR E AS THE METROPLEX IF THOSE AREAS AVOID THE RAIN.
