   SEVERAL STORM SYSTEMS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE NORTHERN TIER OF STATES
   DURING THE PERIOD AND IT WILL CONTINUE TO BE COLD IN THE NORTHERN
   STATES.  OVER THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE COUNTRY...GENERAL WEST TO
   EAST FLOW WILL HOLD IN THE UPPER LEVELS WITH ONLY LIGHT TO MODERATE
   SURFACE WIND SPEEDS IN MOST SECTIONS.  THE DRIEST AIR WILL BE IN THE
   SOUTHERN PLAINS.
   
   ...WEST TEXAS AND PORTIONS OF EASTERN NEW MEXICO...
   ALTHOUGH THE TEMPERATURES WILL BE MILD...HUMIDITY WILL DROP INTO THE
   15 TO 25 PERCENT RANGE.  THE MAIN LIMITING FACTORS ON FRIDAY 
   AFTERNOON WILL BE LIGHT WINDS.  OVERALL...THE CONDITIONS FOR FRIDAY
   AFTERNOON WILL ONLY APPROACH CRITICAL LEVELS WITH THE DRY FUELS. 
   BECAUSE OF THE LIGHT WINDS EXPECTED...WILL NOT GO WITH A CRITICAL
   FIRE WEATHER AREA AT THIS TIME.

   ...SYNOPSIS...
   THE MAIN WEATHER SYSTEM WILL BE THE STRONG COLD FRONT MOVING RAPIDLY
   SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE CENTRAL PLAINS AND EVENTUALLY INTO SOUTH
   TEXAS.  THE UPPER LEVEL FLOW WILL BE TRANSITIONING FROM THE STORM
   TRACK ACROSS THE NORTH TO A MORE SOUTHWESTERLY REGIME.  AHEAD OF THE
   FRONT...ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PLAINS...LOW HUMIDITY AND WARM
   CONDITIONS WILL COMBINE WITH MODERATE SOUTHWEST TO WESTERLY SURFACE
   FLOW AHEAD OF THE FRONT TO PRODUCE CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS.
   
   ...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - SW OK/W TX/ERN NM...
   
   PRIMARY CONDITIONS: DRY FUELS...WARM TEMPERATURES...LOW HUMIDITY AND
   MODERATE WINDS
   
   ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON...THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL DROP INTO THE 15
   TO 25 PERCENT RANGE AND TEMPERATURES WILL WARM INTO THE 60S AND 70S.
    WEST TO SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL BE STRONGER THAN FRIDAY WITH
   SPEEDS FROM 15 TO 25 MPH AND SOME HIGHER GUSTS.  THESE CONDITIONS
   ALONG WITH THE DRY FUELS WILL PRODUCE CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
   CONDITIONS.
   
   IN ADDITION...DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING ON SATURDAY ...A
   VERY STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SHIFT THE WINDS TO STRONG NORTHERLY. 
   THE WIND SHIFT COULD PRODUCE DANGEROUS FIRE CONDITIONS FOR ANY FIRES
   THAT WERE TO IGNITE.
