   AN UPPER TROUGH WILL MOVE INTO THE GREAT BASIN WITH AN UPPER RIDGE
   OVER THE GULF COAST. WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL EXIST ACROSS THE
   PLAINS STATES AND MS VALLEY WITH WARM SLY FLOW AROUND THE SERN U.S.
   HIGH.  STRONG WINDS AND LOW RH WILL CREATE CRITICAL FIRE CONDITIONS
   FOR THE SRN HIGH PLAINS.  LOW AFTERNOON RH WILL OCCUR AGAIN OVER THE
   SERN STATES WITH HIGH PRESSURE IN PLACE.

   PANHANDLES AND NW OK/SW KS...
   
   PRIMARY CONDITIONS: STRONG WINDS AND LOW RH
   
   LOW PRESSURE WILL DEEPEN OVER ERN CO BY AFTERNOON AHEAD OF AN
   APPROACHING UPPER TROUGH. A VERY WARM AND DRY AIR MASS WILL REMAIN
   IN PLACE TODAY WITH MIN RH DROPPING INTO THE TEENS. SWLY WINDS OF
   20-30 MPH WILL OCCUR WITH HIGHER GUSTS. RH LEVELS WILL NOT BE AS LOW
   AS ON THURSDAY...BUT GUSTY WINDS WILL COMBINE WITH THE DRY FUELS TO
   CREATE A FIRE HAZARD THIS AFTERNOON.

   OCCUR OVER THE SRN HIGH PLAINS ALONG WITH LOW RH AND A CRITICAL FIRE
   THREAT. ELSEWHERE...HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN OVER THE SERN U.S.
   WITH WARM TEMPERATURES...LOW AFTERNOON RH AND WEAK WINDS.

   PRIMARY CONDITIONS: STRONG WINDS AND LOW RH
   
   SW WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 25-35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH FROM NM
   INTO THE OK/TX PANHANDLES AS AN UPPER TROUGH LIFTS ACROSS THE AREA.
   MIN RH LEVELS WILL NOT BE EXTREME DUE TO SLIGHTLY COOLER
   TEMPERATURES IN THE 70S F...BUT STILL LOW ENOUGH FROM 10-20 PERCENT
   GIVEN THE WIND MAGNITUDE AND DRY FUELS CONDITIONS. WINDS WILL
   GRADUALLY VEER TO WLY DURING THE EVENING BUT WILL REMAIN GUSTY.
