   0247 AM CDT WED MAY 27 2009

   VALID 271200Z - 281200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
EARLY MORNING SATELLITE IMAGERY SHOWS A BROAD UPPER TROUGH CENTERED
OVER THE CNTRL PLAINS WITH SEVERAL EMBEDDED DISTURBANCES ROTATING
AROUND THE LARGER SCALE FEATURE. THE UPPER TROUGH WILL CONTINUE TO
SLOWLY SLIDE EWD TOWARDS THE MS RIVER VALLEY AS WEAK UPPER RIDGING
OCCURS OVER THE INTERMOUNTAIN WEST. A SURFACE LOW ANALYZED OVER THE
MID MS RIVER VALLEY THIS MORNING WILL MOVE TOWARDS THE CNTRL GREAT
LAKES AS AN ATTENDANT COLD FRONT CONTINUES TO PUSH SEWD FROM THE
CENTRAL LOW PLAINS INTO THE LOWER MS RIVER VALLEY BY THE END OF THE
PERIOD. ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED OVER PARTS
OF THE WRN STATES BUT THE DRY THUNDERSTORM THREAT ASSOCIATED WITH
THIS ACTIVITY WILL LIKELY BE LIMITED.

   DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   0248 AM CDT WED MAY 27 2009

   VALID 281200Z - 291200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
LARGE SCALE PATTERN OVER THE CONUS WILL AMPLIFY DURING THE D2 PERIOD
AS UPPER RIDGING OCCURS OVER THE INTERMOUNTAIN WEST AND AN UPPER
TROUGH OVER THE ERN THIRD OF THE CONUS IS REINFORCED BY A DIGGING
AND SEASONABLY STRONG SHORTWAVE TROUGH OVER THE UPPER GREAT LAKES.
PRIMARY SURFACE COLD FRONT WILL PUSH EWD OVER THE APPALACHIANS WITH
ANOTHER COLD FRONT MOVING SEWD OVER THE NRN PLAINS AND UPPER MIDWEST
REGIONS. SOME GUSTY WINDS MAY DEVELOP OVER PARTS OF THE NRN PLAINS
BUT MARGINALLY LOW RH ALONG WITH GREENUP SUGGEST A LIMITED POTENTIAL
FOR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL
LIKELY DEVELOP AGAIN OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN IN PARTS OF THE WRN
   STATES.
