   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
AN UPPER TROUGH NEAR THE CNTRL NV/UT BORDER AS OF 07Z WILL SLOWLY
WEAKEN AND DRIFT ESEWD TOWARDS THE UT/AZ BORDER. THUNDERSTORMS IN
ASSOCIATION WITH THE UPPER TROUGH ARE ONGOING ACROSS MUCH OF THE
INTERMOUNTAIN WEST...AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE PERIOD. LINGERING
MOISTURE FROM CURRENT/PREVIOUS ACTIVITY...AS WELL AS MOISTURE
STREAMING NWD FROM THE FOUR CORNERS REGION AHEAD OF THE LOW WILL
PRIMARILY FAVOR WET THUNDERSTORMS. UPPER RIDGING WILL BRIEFLY BUILD
BEHIND THE UPPER TROUGH...ALLOWING HOT AND DRY CONDITIONS TO RETURN
TO MUCH OF THE WRN COASTAL STATES...THOUGH WITH SUBCRITICAL WINDS.
MEANWHILE ANOTHER UPPER TROUGH WILL APPROACH THE PACIFIC
NORTHWESTERN COAST. STRONGER WINDS AND ANY LIGHTNING ACTIVITY WITH
   THIS SYSTEM WILL REMAIN OFFSHORE.

   DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   0243 AM CDT TUE SEP 15 2009

   VALID 161200Z - 171200Z

   ...NO CRITICAL AREAS...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
AN UPPER LOW WILL CONTINUE TO WEAKEN AND SLOWLY MOVE SSEWD THROUGH
THE FOUR CORNERS REGION...INFLUENCING WIDESPREAD WET THUNDERSTORMS
THROUGH MUCH OF THE INTERMOUNTAIN WEST. TO THE WEST OF THIS...UPPER
RIDGING WILL PERSIST ACROSS PORTIONS OF NV/CA WITH HOT AND DRY
CONDITIONS AT THE SURFACE...WHILE A SEPARATE UPPER HIGH DOMINATES
OVER ERN MT. WINDS WILL REMAIN LIGHT. ANOTHER UPPER TROUGH WILL MOVE
INTO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST...AND ALTHOUGH STRONG WINDS ALOFT WILL
MOVE ONSHORE...PRECIPITATION/MOISTURE WILL PREVENT THESE WINDS FROM
REACHING THE SURFACE. PWAT/WV IMAGERY SHOWS AMPLE MOISTURE...AND ANY
THUNDERSTORMS THAT CAN DEVELOP IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE UPPER LOW ARE
ANTICIPATED TO REMAIN WET IN NATURE.
