   DAY 2 FIRE WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   0236 AM CST WED NOV 25 2009

   VALID 261200Z - 271200Z

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA FOR INLAND SRN CA W OF THE COASTAL
   RANGE...

   ...SYNOPSIS...
A MODERATE PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL REMAIN OVER THE SWRN U.S. DUE TO A
LARGE HIGH OVER THE GREAT BASIN...BUT THIS GRADIENT WILL WEAKEN
DURING THE DAY AS AN UPPER TROUGH NEARS THE PACIFIC COAST. HIGH
PRESSURE WILL EXTEND EWD ACROSS THE PLAINS AND GULF COAST STATES
WITH MODERATELY LOW RH AND NWLY WINDS OVER THE SERN U.S.

...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER AREA - INLAND SRN CA W OF THE COASTAL
   RANGE...

PRIMARY CONDITIONS: GUSTY OFFSHORE WINDS IN THE MORNING AND LOW RH

GUSTY OFFSHORE FLOW WILL BE ONGOING THU MORNING WITH LOW RH IN THE
TEENS AND POSSIBLY SINGLE DIGITS LOCALLY. WHILE LOW RH WILL PERSIST
ALL DAY...WINDS WILL TEND TO WEAKEN DURING THE AFTERNOON AS THE
PRESSURE GRADIENT RELAXES. THE GREATEST THREAT WILL BE BELOW PASSES
AND CANYONS. POOR RH RECOVERY IS STILL EXPECTED THU NIGHT ALTHOUGH
   WINDS WILL SUBSIDE.

...LOWER MS VALLEY INTO NRN FL...
NWLY WINDS OF 10-15 MPH ARE LIKELY DURING THE DAY AS AN UPPER TROUGH
HELPS TO BRING HIGH PRESSURE INTO THE AREA. MIN RH SHOULD BE IN THE
30 PERCENT RANGE WITH HIGHS IN THE 50S AND 60S F.
