   A LARGE UPPER TROUGH WILL BE SITUATED ACROSS THE CNTRL CONUS TODAY
   WITH A COLD FRONT EXTENDING FROM A LOW OVER THE WRN GREAT LAKES SWD
   ACROSS THE APPALACHIANS AND TO THE N CNTRL GULF COAST. WHILE
   SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION WILL OCCUR ALONG AND AHEAD OF THIS
   FRONT...DRY AIR WITH HIGH PRESSURE WILL SURGE IN BEHIND IT ACROSS
   THE SRN PLAINS. STRONG NWLY WINDS AND LOW RH MAY YIELD CRITICAL FIRE
   CONDITIONS FOR DEEP S TX.  ELSEWHERE...A WEAK UPPER RIDGE WILL SHIFT
   EWD FROM THE W COAST INTO THE GREAT BASIN AS ANOTHER IMPULSE BRINGS
   RAIN TO THE CA/ORE/WA COAST.

   PRIMARY CONDITIONS: STRONG WINDS AND LOW RH
   
   IN A POST FRONTAL REGIME...NWLY WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 20-25 MPH
   SUSTAINED WITH HIGHER GUSTS TODAY. WITH FULL SUNSHINE...LOW LEVEL
   LAPSE RATES WILL STEEPEN AND HIGHS WILL REACH THE 70S. THIS WILL
   CREATE MIN RH READINGS INTO THE MID TEENS. ALTHOUGH SOME AREAS OF S
   CNTRL TX HAVE RECEIVED SUBSTANTIAL RAINFALL OVER THE PAST FEW
   WEEKS...PORTIONS FOR DEEP S TX...ESPECIALLY NEAR THE RIO
   GRANDE...RECEIVED RELATIVELY LITTLE WITH FINER FUELS HAVING DRIED
