NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK

   AREAS AFFECTED...SWRN GA

   CONCERNING...SEVERE POTENTIAL...WATCH POSSIBLE

   VALID 030236Z - 030330Z

ISOLD DMGG WINDS AND PERHAPS A BRIEF TORNADO OR TWO ARE POSSIBLE THE
NEXT FEW HOURS ACROSS SWRN GA WITH STORMS ARISING OUT OF A LOW LEVEL
CONFLUENT BAND SITUATED FROM THE FL PANHANDLE INTO SWRN GA. IF
SHORT TERM TRENDS SHOW A MARKED INCREASE IN STORM INTENSITY...THEN A
TORNADO WATCH MAY NEED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE AREA.

A MOIST MARITIME AND MARGINALLY UNSTABLE AIRMASS OVER THE NERN GULF
AND ADJACENT COASTAL LOWLANDS /SWRN GA/ WILL PROBABLY CONTINUE TO
SUPPORT SOME UPDRAFT ROTATION. KEOX IMAGERY HAS SHOWN WEAK LOW
LEVEL ROTATION PERSISTING FOR THE PAST HOUR WITH 0-1 KM SRH 400-500
M2/S2 PER VAD WINDS. IF/AS THESE STORMS CONTINUE TO PERSIST...THEY
WILL CONTINUE TO REALIZE A FAVORABLY MOIST FETCH OFF THE NERN GULF
THAT IS CHARACTERIZED BY DEWPOINTS RISING INTO THE UPPER 60S DEG F.
ALTHOUGH THE TLH 00Z RAOB FEATURED MODEST MID LEVEL LAPSE
RATES...MLCAPE NEAR 750 J/KG WITHIN AN ESSENTIALLY UNCAPPED
ENVIRONMENT MAY CONTINUE TO FAVOR STRONG-SEVERE UPDRAFT SUSTENANCE
FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. AS SUCH...THERE IS A RISK FOR ISOLD
DMGG WINDS AND PERHAPS A BRIEF TORNADO OR TWO.
