   THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR TORNADO WATCH 27 CONTINUES.
   
   SUMMARY...STRONG DAMAGING WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE COASTAL
   WATERS ALONG THE ERN SHORE OF MD/VA AND FAR SERN VA...AND THE
   COASTAL AREAS/WATERS OF FAR ERN NC THROUGH 09-0930Z...WITH THE NC
   OUTER BANKS BEING THE LAST LAND AREA TO EXPERIENCE THE STRONG WIND
   THREAT THROUGH 0930Z.
   
   DISCUSSION...FAST MOVING...LOW-TOPPED SQUALL LINE /ENEWD AT 40-45
   KT/ HAS CONTINUED TO PRODUCE STRONG WIND GUSTS WITHIN THE PAST HOUR
   WITH THE PASSAGE OF THIS LINE /65 KT AT KLFI AT 0728Z...53 KT AT
   KORF AT 0753Z...57 KT AT KNTU AT 0757Z/.  THE LACK OF GREATER
   INSTABILITY IS INHIBITING THE PRODUCTION OF LIGHTNING.  HOWEVER...
   FORCING WITH THE NEGATIVELY-TILTED MID-UPPER LEVEL TROUGH TRACKING
   NEWD THROUGH THE MID ATLANTIC STATES AND DEEP LAYER WIND FIELDS
   BECOMING ORIENTED MORE PERPENDICULAR TO THE LINE IS MAINTAINING THE
   FAST MOVEMENT. AREA WSR-88D VWP DATA SHOWED 50-70 KT WINDS AT 0.5 TO
   1 KM AGL. THIS HIGH MOMENTUM AIR COMBINED WITH THE SPEED OF THE LINE
   WILL CONTINUE TO POSE A THREAT FOR DAMAGING WINDS AS THE LINE
   PROGRESSES EWD OFFSHORE AND THROUGH THE COASTAL WATERS.
