   AREAS AFFECTED...CENTRAL FL PANHANDLE...SWRN GA

   CONCERNING...WINTER MIXED PRECIPITATION

   VALID 291301Z - 291800Z

SUMMARY...A MIX OF SLEET...FREEZING RAIN AND SOME SNOW IS EXPECTED
TO CONTINUE THROUGH AROUND 18Z. FREEZING RAIN MAY RESULT IN ICE
   ACCUMULATIONS OF 0.02 TO 0.05 INCHES/HR.

DISCUSSION...REGIONAL RADAR COMPOSITE INDICATES AN AREA OF MODERATE
RAIN/FREEZING RAIN FROM NEAR TLH TO PAM AND EXTENDING SOUTHWEST INTO
THE NRN GULF OF MEXICO...WITH A MIX OF PRECIP TYPES EXTENDING
NORTHEAST INTO SRN GA. THIS PRECIPITATION IS ASSOCIATED WITH A
RIBBON OF LOW-LEVEL FRONTOGENETIC FORCING AND WITHIN THE RIGHT
ENTRANCE REGION OF A MID-UPPER LEVEL JET MAX OVER THE SERN U.S. NAM
FORECAST SOUNDINGS REVEAL A WARM LAYER BETWEEN 850 MB AND 700 MB
THAT IS FORECAST TO COOL DURING THE NEXT FEW HOURS...THOUGH LIKELY
STILL SUFFICIENT TO MAINTAIN A MIX OF FREEZING RAIN...SLEET AND SNOW
ACROSS THE DISCUSSION AREA. FORECAST SOUNDINGS ALSO SUGGEST
TEMPERATURES IN THE TLH VICINITY MAY COOL SUFFICIENTLY DUE TO
LOW-LEVEL COLD/DRY AIR ADVECTION FOR A PERIOD OF FREEZING RAIN THIS
   MORNING.
