   CONCERNING...HEAVY SNOW

   SUMMARY...HEAVY SNOWFALL WILL LIKELY DEVELOP THIS MORNING FROM CNTRL
   VERMONT...CNTRL NEW HAMPSHIRE ENEWD ALONG THE COAST OF MAINE.
   SNOWFALL RATES SHOULD INCREASE TO 1 INCH PER HOUR ALONG THIS
   CORRIDOR.

   DISCUSSION...LATEST WATER VAPOR IMAGERY SHOWS A FAST-MOVING
   UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH OVER THE LOWER OH VALLEY WITH A PLUME OF MOISTURE
   EXTENDING FROM THE MID-ATLANTIC NEWD INTO THE NRN APPALACHIAN MTNS
   AND ACROSS NEW ENGLAND. A 70 TO 80 KT LOW TO MID-LEVEL JET IS
   ANALYZED FROM SRN PA EXTENDING NEWD INTO SRN NEW ENGLAND. THIS
   FEATURE IS FORECAST TO MOVE QUICKLY NEWD ACROSS SERN NEW ENGLAND
   THIS MORNING...MAXIMIZING ISENTROPIC LIFT ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE
   JET MAX. FOR THIS REASON...HEAVY SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE
   ACROSS CNTRL VT AND CNTRL NH...DEVELOPING ENEWD ALONG THE COAST OF
   MAINE OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS. SNOWFALL RATES OF AROUND 1 INCH PER
   HOUR WILL BE COMMON AS THE HEAVIER BANDS SPREAD NEWD. THE POTENTIAL
   FOR HEAVY SNOW WILL LIKELY CONTINUE INTO THE AFTERNOON AS THE
   DEFORMATION SNOWBAND OVER LAKE ERIE REACHES THE MCD AREA.
