   VALID 120835Z - 121300Z

SUMMARY...MAINLY FREEZING RAIN WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE EARLY
MORNING HOURS ACROSS NORTHERN/CENTRAL LA INTO FAR SOUTHEAST AR AND
WEST-CENTRAL/NORTH-CENTRAL MS...BEFORE TAPERING LATER THIS MORNING.
ADDITIONAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS WILL OCCUR...PARTICULARLY ON REGIONAL

   DISCUSSION...AS OF 08Z...PRECIPITATION CONTINUES TO OCCUR/REDEVELOP
ACROSS THE NORTHERN TWO-THIRDS OF LA INTO FAR SOUTHEAST AR/MUCH OF
MS...WITH AID OF DPVA/COUPLED UPPER JET STRUCTURE AS A SHORTWAVE

WARMING WITH SOME MID-LEVEL DRYING PER IR/WATER VAPOR IMAGERY...THE
EASTWARD TRANSLATION OF THE MOST CONSEQUENTIAL UPWARD VERTICAL
MOTION SHOULD LEAD TO DIMINISHING PRECIPITATION RATES AND LESSENING
POTENTIAL FOR ADDITIONAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS BEYOND 12Z-15Z.

IN THE MEAN TIME...ADDITIONAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS WILL CONTINUE TO
OCCUR ACROSS THE REGION VIA LIQUID EQUIVALENT RATES UP TO 0.05
IN/HR. ROUGHLY DEMARCATING THE SOUTHERNMOST EXTENT OF THE MOST
IMPACTFUL ICING...THE SURFACE WET BULB 32F LINE AT 08Z WAS ANALYZED

AROUND 900 MB OR 900M AGL...A SPECIAL 06Z SOUNDING FROM JACKSON MS
SUBSTANTIATES FREEZING RAIN AS THE PRIMARY P-TYPE WHEN CONSIDERING
THE SUB-FREEZING SURFACE TEMPERATURES ACROSS NORTHERN/CENTRAL LA
   INTO WEST-CENTRAL/NORTH-CENTRAL MS.
