   THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 22
   CONTINUES.

   SUMMARY...THREAT FOR PRIMARILY DAMAGING WIND IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE
   THROUGH THE MORNING FROM NRN FL THROUGH SERN GA AND CNTRL INTO ERN
   SC. THOUGH THE MAIN THREAT IS DAMAGING WIND...A BRIEF QLCS TORNADO
   OR TWO CANNOT BE RULED OUT.

   DISCUSSION...EARLY THIS MORNING AN EXTENSIVE SQUALL LINE EXTENDS
   FROM WRN SC SWWD THROUGH SWRN GA INTO THE CNTRL FL PANHANDLE MOVING
   EAST AT 30-35 KT. DOWNSTREAM FROM THE LINE...LOW-LEVEL DEWPOINTS
   HAVE BEEN SLOW TO RISE DESPITE A STRONG LLJ DUE TO THE WEAK MOISTURE
   GRADIENT IN WARM SECTOR. NEVERTHELESS...SOME INCREASE IN SFC
   DEWPOINTS HAVE BEEN OBSERVED WITH VALUES GENERALLY FROM THE MID 60S
   OVER NRN FL TO LOW 60S OVER ERN SC. VISIBLE IMAGERY SHOWS EXTENSIVE
   MOSTLY MIDDLE TO HIGH LEVEL ANVIL DEBRIS DOWNSTREAM FROM THE LINE
   WHICH WILL TEND TO SLOW DIABATIC WARMING OF THE BOUNDARY LAYER.
   NEVERTHELESS...12Z RAOBS FROM MOREHEAD CITY NC AND CHARLESTON SC
   SHOW ONLY A SHALLOW AND WEAK SFC STABLE LAYER...SUGGESTING
   TEMPERATURES ONLY IN THE LOW 70S ARE NEEDED FOR NEAR SURFACE BASED
   PARCELS TO BECOME UNSTABLE...SUPPORTING 1000-1500 J/KG MLCAPE AS THE
   LINE CONTINUES EWD. STORMS WILL REMAIN EMBEDDED WITHIN STRONG DEEP
   LAYER WINDS SUPPORTIVE OF OCCASIONAL MESO-VORTICES AND BOWING
   SEGMENTS.
