   THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 85
   CONTINUES.

   SUMMARY...POCKETS OF LOCALLY DAMAGING WINDS WILL REMAIN A CONCERN
   OVERNIGHT ACROSS NORTHEAST AL/FAR NORTHWEST GA AND PORTIONS OF
   MIDDLE/EASTERN TN...AND POSSIBLY FAR SOUTHEAST KY. SEVERE
   THUNDERSTORM WATCH 85 CONTINUES UNTIL 12Z.

   DISCUSSION...A FAST-MOVING SQUALL LINE CONTINUES TO PROGRESS
   EAST/NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS NORTH-CENTRAL AL/MIDDLE TN AND
   SOUTH-CENTRAL KY AS OF 0715Z...WITH A FORWARD MOTION AS FAST AS 50
   KT ACROSS NORTHERN AL/SOUTHERN MIDDLE TN. CONSTANT ALTITUDE /CAPPI/
   RADAR DATA SUGGESTS THAT THE STRONGEST UPDRAFTS PERSIST ACROSS
   SOUTHERN MIDDLE TN AND NORTH-CENTRAL INTO NORTHEAST AL. RELATED TO
   REAR-INFLOW/POSSIBLE MCV INFLUENCES...RECENT WSR-88D VWP DATA FROM
   NASHVILLE/HUNTSVILLE ARE SAMPLING 50-60 KT SOUTH-SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS
   WITHIN THE LOWEST 2-3 KM AGL IN THE IMMEDIATE WAKE OF THE CONVECTIVE
   LINE. WITH PRE-SQUALL LINE SURFACE TEMPERATURES NOW GENERALLY BELOW
   60 F...BOUNDARY-LAYER INHIBITION PRECEDING THE LINE WILL CONTINUE TO
   STEADILY INCREASE AND GRADUALLY BECOME INCREASINGLY DETRIMENTAL FOR
   SEVERE-CALIBER WIND GUSTS OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS.
   NONETHELESS...FACTORS SUCH AS THE ORGANIZATION/FAST FORWARD MOTION
   OF THE CONVECTIVE LINE WILL CONTINUE TO RESULT IN LOCALIZED POCKETS
   OF DAMAGING WINDS IN/NEAR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 85.
