   The risk for thunderstorms is low across the U.S. today and tonight.

   ...DISCUSSION...
   An upper-level trough extending from the southern Plains
   northeastward into the Great Lakes region will move southeastward
   tonight as southwest mid-level flow remains over the southern and
   eastern U.S. Water vapor imagery shows an extensive area of
   mid-level moisture from the lower Mississippi Valley
   east-northeastward into Georgia where a few lightning strikes have
   occurred over the last hour. This potential for lightning could
   persist but should remain very isolated. Elsewhere, thunderstorm
   development is unlikely through the end of the day 1 period.
