   URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED
   TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 63
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   1230 PM CST SUN FEB 17 2008
   
   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
   TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
   
          SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL ALABAMA
          FLORIDA PANHANDLE
          WESTERN GEORGIA
          COASTAL WATERS
   
   EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 1230 PM UNTIL
   800 PM CST.
   
   TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
   GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
   AREAS.
   
   THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 100 STATUTE
   MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 35 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF
   PANAMA CITY FLORIDA TO 35 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF LA GRANGE
   GEORGIA.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE

   REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
   TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.
   
   OTHER WATCH INFORMATION...THIS TORNADO WATCH REPLACES TORNADO
   WATCH NUMBER 62. WATCH NUMBER 62 WILL NOT BE IN EFFECT AFTER 1230
   PM CST. 
   
   DISCUSSION...BROKEN LINE OF SUPERCELLS WILL CONTINUE TO INTENSIFY AS
   THEY RACE ENEWD ACROSS WW INTO THE EARLY EVENING AS AIR MASS BECOMES
   MARGINALLY UNSTABLE TO SURFACE-BASED PARCELS.  EXTREME SHEAR WILL
   THEREFORE SUSTAIN A RISK OF ISOLATED TORNADOES...ALONG WITH DAMAGING
   WINDS AND ISOLATED LARGE HAIL.
   
   AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
   SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 2 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE
   WIND GUSTS TO 60 KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO
   400. MEAN STORM MOTION VECTOR 23035.
