   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   255 AM CDT FRI APR 4 2014

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     NORTHERN AND WESTERN ALABAMA
     EASTERN MISSISSIPPI
     MIDDLE TENNESSEE

   * EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY MORNING FROM 255 AM UNTIL 1000 AM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     SEVERAL TORNADOES POSSIBLE
     SEVERAL DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH LIKELY
     SEVERAL LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE

   THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 80 STATUTE
   MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 75 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST OF
   MUSCLE SHOALS ALABAMA TO 80 MILES SOUTHWEST OF TUSCALOOSA
   ALABAMA.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE

   WIND AND POSSIBLY A COUPLE TORNADOES.

   AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
   SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 1 INCH. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
   GUSTS TO 60 KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 500.
