   TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 111
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   640 PM EDT MON APR 28 2014

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     NORTHWEST GEORGIA
     EXTREME WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA
     SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE

   * EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY MORNING FROM 640 PM
     UNTIL 100 AM EDT.

   ...THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION...

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     SEVERAL TORNADOES AND A FEW INTENSE TORNADOES LIKELY
     SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE
     ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE

   THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 50 STATUTE
   MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 25 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF
   CHATTANOOGA TENNESSEE TO 20 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF KNOXVILLE

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
   TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

   DISCUSSION...INTENSE SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHERN AL MAY
   MAINTAIN INTENSITY FOR A FEW MORE HOURS AND TRACK INTO WATCH AREA. 
   MODERATE INSTABILITY AND FAVORABLE VERTICAL SHEAR PROFILES WILL
   RESULT IN A CONTINUED RISK OF STRONG/DAMAGING TORNADOES.  HAIL AND
   DAMAGING WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE WITH THE STRONGER CELLS.

   AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
   SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 2 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE
