   SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 129
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   510 AM CDT SAT APR 30 2016

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     PARTS OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL LOUISIANA
     PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS
     COASTAL WATERS

   * EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY MORNING FROM 510 AM UNTIL 1100 AM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE
     ISOLATED LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE
     A TORNADO OR TWO POSSIBLE

   SUMMARY...A BAND OF STRONG/LOCALLY SEVERE STORMS INCLUDING
   ROTATING/BOWING SEGMENTS WILL CONTINUE MOVING EWD ACROSS SERN TX/LA
   OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.  LOCALLY DAMAGING WINDS AND
   ISOLATED/MARGINAL HAIL OCCURRENCES WILL BE POSSIBLE...ALONG WITH THE
   RISK FOR A TORNADO OR TWO.

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 50
   STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 30 MILES WEST
   NORTHWEST OF MONROE LOUISIANA TO 35 MILES SOUTHEAST OF PORT
   ARTHUR TEXAS.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.
