   SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 137
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   315 AM CDT MON MAY 2 2016

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     PARTS OF SOUTHERN ARKANSAS
     MUCH OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL LOUISIANA
     PARTS OF WESTERN MISSISSIPPI
     PORTIONS OF EASTERN AND SOUTHEAST TEXAS

   * EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY MORNING FROM 315 AM UNTIL 900 AM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE
     ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 65 MPH POSSIBLE

   SUMMARY...ISOLATED STRONG/SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST TO
   CONTINUE SPREADING EAST ACROSS THE WW AREA OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL
   HOURS...WHERE LARGE HAIL AND AN ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND GUST OR TWO
   CAN BE EXPECTED.

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 90
   STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 40 MILES NORTH
   NORTHEAST OF MONTICELLO ARKANSAS TO 65 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF
   LUFKIN TEXAS.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.
