The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
* Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 730 PM
until 300 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
inches in diameter possible
Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...The potential for supercells will continue to increase
into the Texas low rolling Plains this evening, including risks for
large hail and possibly a tornado or two. Additional storms should
increase across far west/southwest Texas this evening, with these
storms increasing and developing eastward into the overnight with
mainly hail and damaging winds risks.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 65
statute miles east and west of a line from 75 miles north northwest
of Abilene TX to 35 miles east southeast of Dryden TX. For a

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
