   SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 236
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   325 PM CDT THU MAY 28 2015

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     PARTS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA
     PORTIONS OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL TEXAS

   * EFFECTIVE THIS THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 325 PM UNTIL
     1100 PM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE
     ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 2.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER
       POSSIBLE
     A TORNADO OR TWO POSSIBLE

   SUMMARY...THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ACROSS PARTS OF CENTRAL
   OKLAHOMA THIS AFTERNOON...WHILE OTHER/VIGOROUS STORMS EVOLVING OVER
   THE TEXAS SOUTH PLAINS ARE FORECAST TO ORGANIZE INTO A BOWING MCS
   AND SHIFT EAST-SOUTHEASTWARD INTO NORTH TEXAS WITH TIME.  RISK FOR
   LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS IS EVIDENT -- WITH WIND RISK POSSIBLY
   BECOMING WIDESPREAD INTO THIS EVENING PRESUMING UPSCALE GROWTH INTO
   A BOWING MCS OCCURS AS ANTICIPATED.

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 50
   STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 20 MILES NORTHEAST OF
   OKLAHOMA CITY OKLAHOMA TO 55 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF BROWNWOOD
