   TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 244
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   515 PM CDT FRI JUN 6 2014

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     SOUTHERN AND WESTERN KANSAS

   * EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND SATURDAY MORNING FROM 515
     PM UNTIL 100 AM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     A COUPLE TORNADOES POSSIBLE
     SCATTERED LARGE HAIL LIKELY WITH ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS
       TO 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE
     ISOLATED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 75 MPH POSSIBLE

   THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 95 STATUTE
   MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 70 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST OF
   GARDEN CITY KANSAS TO 40 MILES EAST OF LIBERAL KANSAS.  FOR A

   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS

   BUOYANCY...SOME RISK WILL EXIST FOR SUPERCELLS WITH LARGE HAIL/DMGG
   WIND...AND TORNADOES.
