   TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 252
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   630 PM CDT WED JUN 3 2015

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     CENTRAL AND NORTHERN KANSAS
     SOUTHERN NEBRASKA

   * EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING FROM 630 PM
     UNTIL 200 AM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     A COUPLE TORNADOES POSSIBLE
     SCATTERED LARGE HAIL AND ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 3
       INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE
     ISOLATED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 75 MPH POSSIBLE

   SUMMARY...POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE
   THROUGH AT LEAST EARLY-MID EVENING...INCLUDING A FEW SUPERCELLS. 
   ISOLATED VERY LARGE AND DAMAGING HAIL IS POSSIBLE AMIDST BROADER
   THREAT OF SEVERE HAIL FROM SEVERAL STORMS.  RISKS FOR DAMAGING GUSTS
   AND A COUPLE OF TORNADOES ALSO EXIST.

   THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE
   MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 60 MILES SOUTHWEST OF HILL
   CITY KANSAS TO 30 MILES SOUTHEAST OF BEATRICE NEBRASKA.  FOR A

   REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
   TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.
