The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
* Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 245 PM until
1000 PM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...An area of developing thunderstorms over northeastern
Colorado appears likely to increase further in coverage and
intensity while spreading east southeastward across the watch area
through this evening. A small upscale growing mesoscale convective
system may eventually evolve, with increasing potential for severe
wind gusts, particularly near the Interstate 70 corridor of
