   SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 331
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   1140 PM EDT WED JUN 18 2014

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     CENTRAL...SOUTHERN AND EASTERN INDIANA
     EXTREME NORTHERN KENTUCKY
     SOUTHWESTERN AND WESTERN OHIO

   * EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING FROM 1140
     PM UNTIL 700 AM EDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     SCATTERED DAMAGING WINDS AND ISOLATED SIGNIFICANT GUSTS TO 75
       MPH POSSIBLE

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70
   STATUTE MILES EITHER SIDE OF A LINE FROM 40 MILES WEST NORTHWEST
   OF MUNCIE INDIANA TO 40 MILES SOUTH OF CINCINNATI OHIO.  FOR A
   COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE ASSOCIATED WATCH OUTLINE

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.

   DISCUSSION...BOWING MCS HAS DEVELOPED ENOUGH OF AN ORGANIZED COLD
   POOL TO PERSIST ACROSS MUCH OF ERN/SERN INDIANA AND PERHAPS INTO
   ADJOINING PORTION OH/KY...AIDED BY LIFT AND FAVORABLY UNSTABLE
   LOW-LEVEL INFLOW ALONG AND NE OF ANTECEDENT OUTFLOW BOUNDARY. 
   DAMAGING WIND WILL BE PRIMARY CONCERN.  SOME POTENTIAL ALSO EXISTS
   FOR THIS COMPLEX TO EXPAND SWWD OR EWD WHILE REMAINING MAINLY
   FORWARD-PROPAGATIONAL...THEREFORE WW IS BROADER THAN CURRENT LATERAL
   EXTENT OF COMPLEX.

   AVIATION...A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL SURFACE AND ALOFT
   TO 1.5 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND GUSTS TO 65
   KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 500. MEAN STORM
   MOTION VECTOR 31035.
