   SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 333
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   125 PM EDT MON JUN 22 2015

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     LOWER MICHIGAN
     LAKE ERIE
     LAKE HURON
     LAKE MICHIGAN

   * EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 125 PM UNTIL
     900 PM EDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH LIKELY
     ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE
     A TORNADO OR TWO POSSIBLE

   SUMMARY...STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO INTENSIFY AND SPREAD
   EAST-NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS LOWER MICHIGAN THIS AFTERNOON. DAMAGING
   WINDS SHOULD BE THE PRIMARY HAZARD...BUT SOME HAIL IS POSSIBLE AND A
   TORNADO RISK CANNOT BE RULED OUT GIVEN THE PROXIMITY OF A WARM
   FRONT.

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70
   STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 40 MILES NORTH
   NORTHWEST OF BENTON HARBOR MICHIGAN TO 30 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST
   OF MOUNT CLEMENS MICHIGAN.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.
