   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   155 PM CDT WED JUL 6 2016

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     SOUTHEASTERN MONTANA
     SOUTHWEST NORTH DAKOTA
     NORTHWEST SOUTH DAKOTA

   * EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 155 PM
     UNTIL 900 PM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE
     ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE

   SUMMARY...THUNDERSTORMS NOW OVER E CENTRAL MT EXPECTED TO
   EXPAND/MOVE GENERALLY E/SE THROUGH LATER THIS AFTERNOON OR
   EVENING...WITH SOME RISK FOR SEVERE HAIL AND LOCALLY DAMAGING WIND
   AS A FEW EVOLVE INTO SUPERCELLS AND OTHER SUSTAINED STRUCTURES.

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 85
   STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 25 MILES WEST
   NORTHWEST OF GLENDIVE MONTANA TO 40 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF
   BUFFALO SOUTH DAKOTA.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.
