   TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 349
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   620 PM CDT WED JUN 24 2015

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     MUCH OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL IOWA
     PARTS OF EASTERN NEBRASKA

   * EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING FROM 620 PM
     UNTIL 200 AM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     A COUPLE TORNADOES POSSIBLE
     SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH LIKELY
     SCATTERED LARGE HAIL AND ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 2.5
       INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE

   SUMMARY...RAPID THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT IS NOW UNDERWAY...WITH
   FURTHER INTENSIFICATION LIKELY WHILE SPREADING WEST TO EAST ACROSS
   THE WATCH AREA THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS.  STRONGER STORMS MAY
   BECOME CAPABLE OF PRODUCING TORNADOES...BEFORE ACTIVITY CONSOLIDATES
   INTO AN EVOLVING THUNDERSTORM CLUSTER...WITH POTENTIALLY DAMAGING
   WIND GUSTS BECOMING THE MORE PROMINENT THREAT LATER THIS EVENING
   INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

   THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70 STATUTE
   MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF
   TEKAMAH NEBRASKA TO 40 MILES EAST NORTHEAST OF KNOXVILLE IOWA.
