   SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 385
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   305 PM CDT THU JUL 14 2016

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     SOUTHWEST AND CENTRAL ARKANSAS
     EXTREME SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA
     EXTREME NORTHEAST TEXAS

   * EFFECTIVE THIS THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 305 PM UNTIL
     900 PM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE
     ISOLATED LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE

   SUMMARY...A WELL-DEVELOPED THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX IN WEST CENTRAL
   ARKANSAS AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA WILL CONTINUE TO SURGE SOUTHEASTWARD
   THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE AFTERNOON/EVENING.  DAMAGING GUSTS WILL
   BE POSSIBLE FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS...AS WELL AS ISOLATED LARGE HAIL.

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 70
   STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 30 MILES NORTH OF
   RUSSELLVILLE ARKANSAS TO 20 MILES SOUTH SOUTHWEST OF TEXARKANA
   ARKANSAS.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.
