   SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 386
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   325 PM CDT THU JUL 2 2015

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     NORTHWEST ARKANSAS
     NORTHERN AND CENTRAL OKLAHOMA

   * EFFECTIVE THIS THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 325 PM UNTIL
     900 PM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     SCATTERED DAMAGING WINDS LIKELY WITH ISOLATED SIGNIFICANT GUSTS
       TO 75 MPH POSSIBLE
     ISOLATED LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE

   SUMMARY...THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO FORM OVER NORTHERN OK THIS
   AFTERNOON IN A HOT/HUMID ENVIRONMENT.  ACTIVITY WILL BUILD SOUTHWARD
   ACROSS THE WATCH AREA THROUGH THE AFTERNOON...POSING A RISK OF
   LOCALLY DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND HAIL.

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 55
   STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 40 MILES WEST
   SOUTHWEST OF ENID OKLAHOMA TO 35 MILES SOUTHEAST OF FAYETTEVILLE
   ARKANSAS.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.
