   SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 434
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   1240 AM CDT SAT JUL 18 2015

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     SOUTHEASTERN MINNESOTA
     WESTERN AND CENTRAL WISCONSIN

   * EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY MORNING FROM 1240 AM UNTIL 700 AM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     SCATTERED DAMAGING WINDS LIKELY WITH ISOLATED SIGNIFICANT GUSTS
       TO 75 MPH POSSIBLE
     A TORNADO OR TWO POSSIBLE

   SUMMARY...BOWING COMPLEX OF THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTHERN
   MINNESOTA...WITH A HISTORY OF DAMAGING AND SEVERE GUSTS...SHOULD
   MAINTAIN THAT THREAT AT LEAST INTO PARTS OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL
   WISCONSIN.  ANOTHER EMBEDDED TORNADO CANNOT BE RULED OUT.  SEE SPC
   MESOSCALE DISCUSSION 1458 FOR METEOROLOGICAL DETAILS.

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 75
   STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 20 MILES SOUTH
   SOUTHEAST OF LA CROSSE WISCONSIN TO 40 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST OF
   EAU CLAIRE WISCONSIN.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.
