   SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 441
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   255 AM CDT SUN JUL 19 2015

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     CENTRAL AND NORTHERN KANSAS

   * EFFECTIVE THIS SUNDAY MORNING FROM 255 AM UNTIL 900 AM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     ISOLATED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 75 MPH POSSIBLE

   SUMMARY...COMPLEX OF THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHWESTERN KANSAS HAS
   BECOME BETTER ORGANIZED...PRODUCING A MEASURED-SEVERE GUST AT HILL
   CITY WITH CONTINUING STRONG TO SEVERE GUSTS THERE IN ITS REAR-INFLOW
   JET.  THIS ACTIVITY SHOULD MERGE WITH OTHER THUNDERSTORMS TO ITS
   EAST AND NORTHEAST...MOVE INTO A FAVORABLY MOIST AIR MASS...AND
   MAINTAIN A THREAT FOR DAMAGING WINDS EASTWARD ACROSS NORTHERN
   KANSAS...THROUGH DAYBREAK AND PERHAPS A LITTLE AFTERWARD.

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 75
   STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES SOUTH
   SOUTHWEST OF RUSSELL KANSAS TO 35 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF
   CONCORDIA KANSAS.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE THE

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.
