   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   825 PM CDT WED SEP 3 2014

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     NORTHWEST WISCONSIN

   * EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING FROM 825 PM
     UNTIL 200 AM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE
     ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE

   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 45
   STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 70 MILES WEST
   NORTHWEST OF EAU CLAIRE WISCONSIN TO 65 MILES EAST NORTHEAST OF
   EAU CLAIRE WISCONSIN.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.

   DISCUSSION...A SMALL MCS COMPOSED OF A SUPERCELL AND SHORT BOWING
   LINE SEGMENT IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE EASTWARD ACROSS THE WATCH AREA
   THIS EVENING INTO TONIGHT. STRONG VERTICAL SHEAR AND AT LEAST MODEST
   INSTABILITY WILL SUSTAIN THESE ORGANIZED STORM MODES WHICH ARE
   EXPECTED TO REMAIN SLIGHTLY DE-COUPLED FROM THE BOUNDARY LAYER.
   LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS WILL BE THE PRIMARY HAZARDS.

   AVIATION...A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL SURFACE AND ALOFT
   TO 2 INCHES. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND GUSTS TO 60
   KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 500. MEAN STORM
   MOTION VECTOR 29030.
