   TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 533
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   320 AM CDT MON OCT 13 2014

   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

   * TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
     SOUTHWESTERN ARKANSAS
     NORTHWESTERN LOUISIANA
     EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA
     CENTRAL AND EAST TEXAS

   * EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY MORNING FROM 320 AM UNTIL 1100 AM CDT.

   * PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
     A COUPLE TORNADOES POSSIBLE
     SCATTERED DAMAGING WINDS LIKELY WITH ISOLATED SIGNIFICANT GUSTS
       TO 75 MPH POSSIBLE

   THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 80 STATUTE
   MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 65 MILES EAST SOUTHEAST OF
   TEMPLE TEXAS TO 35 MILES NORTH OF TEXARKANA ARKANSAS.  FOR A

   REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
   TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

   MOVE INTO PROGRESSIVELY HIGHER-THETAE ENVIRONMENT WITH SFC-BASED
   INFLOW. FAVORABLY LARGE LOW-LEVEL HODOGRAPHS ARE FCST ACROSS WW AREA
   TO SUPPORT SLGT TORNADO POTENTIAL FROM EITHER SUPERCELLS OR QLCS
   CIRCULATIONS. REF SPC MESOSCALE DISCUSSION 1864 FOR FURTHER
   METEOROLOGICAL DETAILS.

   AVIATION...TORNADOES AND A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL
   SURFACE AND ALOFT TO 1 INCH. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND
   GUSTS TO 65 KNOTS. A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 500.
