A closed upper level low will retrograde back to the west north of
Hawaii through the second half of this week, while upper level
ridging shifts over the region behind the low this weekend. Models
indicate heights may lower again by early next week as a weak
shortwave/trough moves through. Moderate to locally breezy trade
winds through much of the period should support mainly typical
windward and mauka shower activity, with some local enhancement
possible Thursday and Friday as a region of higher moisture (PWATs
near 1.5 inches) moves over the islands.
