   Mesoscale Discussion 0580
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   0852 PM CDT Tue May 07 2019

   Areas affected...central Oklahoma

   Concerning...Tornado Watch 146...148...

   Valid 080152Z - 080245Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 146, 148 continues.

SUMMARY...Storms are expected to continue increasing over central OK
and may eventually pose a severe risk. Current thinking is that
tornado watch 148 and 146 will probably be replaced by a new tornado
watch that will include western and central OK and southeast KS.

DISCUSSION...Storms are rapidly developing within an increasing warm
advection regime. Low-level and deep shear profiles are gradually
increasing, supporting a threat for supercells capable of large hail
and a few tornadoes given presence of a moderately unstable
   atmosphere.
