   Concerning...Tornado Watch 27...

   The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 27 continues.

   SUMMARY...The threat for damaging wind and isolated tornadoes will
   persist next couple hours from northern SC through central NC.

   DISCUSSION...Broken band of storms extends from central NC through
   northern SC, and tendency has been for the trailing part of this
   band to become oriented parallel to the deep layer winds, suggesting
   an overall slower eastward progress. Individual elements within the
   band will train east northeast. Marginal instability and very strong
   vertical wind profiles with 50 + kt effective bulk shear along with
   large low-level hodographs will continue to support occasional
   bowing structures as well as meso-vortices and embedded supercells
   capable of damaging wind and a few tornadoes.
