   Mesoscale Discussion 0100
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   0747 PM CST Thu Feb 06 2020

Areas affected...the northern and central Florida peninsula

   Concerning...Severe potential...Tornado Watch likely

   Valid 070147Z - 070315Z

   Probability of Watch Issuance...80 percent

SUMMARY...A line of storms approaching from the west will pose a
damaging wind, and perhaps brief tornado threat later tonight.

DISCUSSION...A squall line will continue to rapidly move eastward
across northern and into central FL. 00Z soundings show very strong
wind shear through a deep layer, along with sufficient low-level
turning with height to support periodic supercell structures within
the line. Strong wind speeds will favor damaging wind gusts, with a
brief tornado or two possible in QLCS fashion.
