   Areas affected...Portions of southern OH...WV...and far western VA

   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 85...

   Valid 080930Z - 081000Z

   The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 85
   continues.

   SUMMARY...The overall severe threat is diminishing across Severe
   Thunderstorm Watch 85, which should be allowed to expire as
   scheduled at 10Z.

   DISCUSSION...Recent radar trends show a gust front surging southward
   ahead of the main convective line across parts of southern OH into
   WV. This will have a tendency to undercut ongoing updrafts. Some
   hail and locally strong/gusty winds cannot be ruled out in the short
   term. But, current expectations are for the overall severe threat to
   continue diminishing through the remainder of the early morning
   hours. Therefore, Severe Thunderstorm Watch 85 should be allowed to
   expire as scheduled at 10Z.
