   Areas affected...eastern Arkansas...northern Mississippi...and
   western Tennessee

   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 111...114...

   Valid 130244Z - 130415Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 111, 114
   continues.

SUMMARY...Damaging wind gusts remain likely with ongoing convection.
Local extensions of WW 114 will likely be needed across western
   Tennessee and northeastern Mississippi.

DISCUSSION...An extensive linear segment has evolved from near BVX
to near UOX and GLH. The line has recently begun to accelerate
eastward - especially across southeastern and east-central Arkansas,
with multiple reports of wind damage and severe wind gusts at SGT,
GLH, and LLQ over the past hour or so. This line should affect
portions of the Memphis Metro area over the next hour or so. The
line continues to be forced by a vigorous mid-level impulse just
upstream, which is likely compensating for the fact that much of the
downstream airmass has been overturned by prior convection. Still,
low to mid-60s F dewpoints were supporting 500-1500 J/kg MUCAPE,
which is allowing for downward momentum transfer of very strong flow
   aloft, supporting the wind gusts.

Given the ongoing convective trends, portions of northeastern
Mississippi and western Tennessee will likely need spatial
extensions of WW 114 to address the ongoing wind-damage threat.
Likewise, areas of WW 111 that have been convectively overturned
behind the leading edge of the convective band can be cancelled
before the originally scheduled 04Z expiration time.
