NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   0714 AM CDT Fri Apr 24 2020

   Areas affected...Central Florida Peninsula

   Concerning...Tornado Watch 144...

   Valid 241214Z - 241415Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 144 continues.

SUMMARY...An isolated severe threat is expected to continue across
parts of central Florida over the next couple of hours. Wind damage
   would be the primary threat.

DISCUSSION...A convective line of storms is ongoing in the southeast
part of WW 144 just to the west of Melbourne, Florida. These storms
are located along a gradient of moderate instability with the RAP
showing MLCAPE near 2500 J/kg. The Melbourne 88D-VWP shows 0-6 km
shear near 50 kt with 40 kt of flow just above the surface. This
will support a severe threat as the line moves toward the coast over
the next 1 to 2 hours. As surface heating takes place, new storms
could develop along the outflow boundary in central Florida.
Additional storms may also move inland across western Florida. The
environment, characterized by moderate instability and strong
low-level flow, should support a wind-damage threat with the
stronger cells. Any severe threat is expected to remain isolated.
