   Mesoscale Discussion 0595
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   0433 AM CDT Fri May 15 2020

   Areas affected...southeast Missouri

   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 185...

   Valid 150933Z - 151030Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 185
   continues.

SUMMARY...Severe risk has diminished, as WW 185 nears its scheduled
   expiration time.

DISCUSSION...Latest radar imagery from the past half hour shows a
noted decrease in convective intensity, with measured wind gusts
over the past hour generally peaking at 40 MPH. While locally gusty
winds remain possible, severe risk should continue to diminish along
the decreasing band of convection. WW 185 will likely be allowed to
expire as scheduled at 15/11Z, if not cancelled early.
