   Mesoscale Discussion 0648
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   0625 PM CDT Wed May 20 2020

   Areas affected...Central/Northern High Plains

   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 195...

   Valid 202325Z - 210100Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 195
   continues.

SUMMARY...Severe threat is shifting into the eastern parts of ww195.

DISCUSSION...Deep convection that initiated off the Laramie Range a
few hours ago has since progressed across the High Plains of eastern
WY. This activity has evolved into a squall line that is propagating
through an instability axis near the WY/SD/NE border. While LLJ
should encourage continued eastward movement, the corridor of
appreciable buoyancy remaining is roughly 50-100 mi wide. For these
reasons, severe threat appears to be peaking and will likely
   decrease between 103-102W longitude.
