   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 198...

   Valid 220210Z - 220315Z

   The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 198
   continues.

   SUMMARY...New severe thunderstorm watch will likely be issued before
   03z. Severe threat is expected to shift southeast into the early
   morning hours.

   DISCUSSION...Deep convection has been very slow to move out of
   western KS this evening. However, there are recent signs that
   forward propagation should begin to accelerate as cold pool
   intensifies in the wake of an expanding precipitation shield.
   Northwest-southeast oriented instability axis favors southeast
   propagation. With LLJ expected to increase over the next few hours
   into this developing MCS there is increasing confidence that a new
   severe thunderstorm watch will be warranted downstream into portions
   of northwestern OK. This new watch will be issued before 03z.
