   Areas affected...Carolinas

   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 203...204...

   Valid 222240Z - 230015Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 203, 204
   continues.

SUMMARY...Damagng wind gusts, and perhaps a tornado remain possible
across WW204. Severe weather potential is the highest over the next
couple of hours with a surging bow echo across south central North
   Carolina.

DISCUSSION...Radar data shows a well developed bow echo moving
across portions of North and South Carolina. Downstream of the bow,
MLCAPE near 1000 J/kg should support storms capable of severe wind
gusts for a few more hours. Low-level shear remains weak with 0-1km
bulk shear less than 10 kts. However, occasional QLCS and bookend
circulations have been noted with the ongoing line, and a tornado
cannot be ruled out. An inland sea breeze front marks the westward
extent of a cooler and more stable boundary-layer across portions of
the coastal Carolinas. The severe weather threat is expected to
continue with storms through the interaction with the boundary, and
gradually diminish in intensity as they move farther east into the
   more stable air.
