   Mesoscale Discussion 0771
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   1006 PM CDT Sat May 30 2020

   Areas affected...central and eastern Washington...northeast
   Oregon...northern Idaho

   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 237...

   Valid 310306Z - 310500Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 237
   continues.

SUMMARY...Severe wind gusts remain possible over northeast
Washington into northern Idaho. Isolated hail is possible as well.

DISCUSSION...A severe line of storms with damaging outflow winds
continues to move rapidly north across eastern WA where instability
remains sufficient given the organization of this system. South of
there, much of the area has been stabilized due to outflow. However,
minimal instability may exist in pockets, perhaps elevated, and
additional isolated strong/severe storms cannot be ruled out as
cooling aloft with the shortwave trough continues toward the region.
Marginal wind or hail is possible with any additional storms that
may develop behind the initial convective system, but additional
   watches are not anticipated.
