   Mesoscale Discussion 0826
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   0655 PM CDT Thu Jun 04 2020

   Areas affected...Northeast WY...South Dakota...Northern Nebraska

   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 252...

   Valid 042355Z - 050130Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 252
   continues.

SUMMARY...Severe threat should gradually increase across ww252.

   DISCUSSION...Two well-organized supercells have evolved over ww252
this evening. This may be in part to 500mb speed max that is
translating across the northern High Plains along the SD/ND border.
Supercell over the northern Black Hills has likely produced very
large hail at times and this storm appears to be cycling as it
propagates southeast along the east slopes of the higher terrain.
New convection is gradually deepening over Sheridan/Campbell County
WY region and this activity will likely intensify as it approaches
higher buoyancy. Given the northwest/southeast-oriented instability
corridor over the Plains, severe threat is expected to spread
southeast toward the NE border, in line with latest CAMs. Later this
evening, supercells could spread into north-central NE.
