   Mesoscale Discussion 0848
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   0801 PM CDT Fri Jun 05 2020

   Areas affected...eastern Wyoming...southwest South
   Dakota...northwest Nebraska

   Concerning...Severe potential...Watch unlikely

   Valid 060101Z - 060300Z

   Probability of Watch Issuance...20 percent

SUMMARY...A few storms are developing across the High Plains
including a supercell in far east-central Wyoming. Large hail and
damaging winds are the main severe threats with these discrete
   storms.

DISCUSSION...Isolated storms have developed across the High Plains
as upslope flow and daytime heating have helped initiate convection.
One supercell has been cycling across eastern Wyoming over the last
1+ hour. It has recently intensified and started to move
southeastward. Weaker storms have developed across northeast Wyoming
and far southeast Wyoming/southwest Nebraska. If these storms can
persist past sunset, the low-level jet is forecast to strengthen out
of the southeast and may sustain storms longer into the evening.
Large hail and damaging winds remain possible with the wind threat
likely lasting longer. A watch issuance is unlikely given the
relative isolated nature of the severe threat.
