   Mesoscale Discussion 0931
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   1109 PM CDT Wed Jun 17 2020

   Areas affected...eastern North Dakota/western Minnesota

   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 282...

   Valid 180409Z - 180515Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 282
   continues.

SUMMARY...Severe risk continues to diminish as WW 282 nears
   expiration.

DISCUSSION...The latest radar loop shows storm coverage and
intensity continuing to diminish across the WW area, as notable
boundary-layer cooling/stabilization is evident in the surface
   analysis.

With this trend to continue, and with weaker ambient instability
with eastward extent, storms should continue a general weakening
trend through the midnight hour. Until then, a stronger storm or
two may remain capable of producing marginal hail and/or locally
   gusty winds.
